“Love is in the air, love is all around: but you already know that.
It's with sand between your toes, washed by the gently rolling waves that you know love is in the sand, too.”

Locations for your wedding in Hawaii

There are many beautiful locations on each of our lovely Hawaiian Islands for your wedding.

Beaches and parks, mountains and palm trees make lovely backdrops for the exchange of your marriage vows. There isn't a bad place, really, although some areas are busier than others.

The seven major islands of  the Hawaii are each uniquely different. The island state of Hawaii is the 50th US state, nicknamed the Aloha State. The island of Hawaii (Big Island) is the southernmost island, the biggest and youngest in the chain. To the north you'll find Maui (Valley Isle), Lanai (Private Isle), Molokai (Friendly Isle), Oahu (Gathering Place), Kauai (Garden Isle) and Niihau (Forbidden Isle).

The perfect place to be married is where you, the bride and groom envision sharing your marriage vows . There is no wrong place, and when two people gaze into each other's eyes, promising themselves to each other, the rest of the world momentarily fades away.

Your Marriage in Hawaii wedding officiant is based on the island of Oahu and is happy to travel to the island of your wedding. Sometimes a travel fee may apply. On the island of Oahu, theres is an area where there won't be a travel fee. (See the green on Oahu map.)

Official Information

Often requested ares on Oahu for an intimate wedding, include Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden for a greenery area, and Kailua Beach Park & Lanikai Beach, all on the Windward side of Oahu. They're relatively quiet and easily accessible. They're quite popular as wedding sites, and are almost unknown to tourists. (Permit required for your wedding on public land: application here.)

Some locations charge a fee for the use of their facilities, and some parks have an entry fee. Permits are required for beach weddings and other areas have hours the area can be used. Spectacular waterfalls are not easily accessible, although arrangements can be made.

Some areas are popular with the local folk (but not well known with our visitors!) and provide a personal, romantic setting. Of course, many areas have lots of tourists involved with various activities, creating a challenge to find an intimate spot for a wedding.

If you're wanting to stay close to Waikiki, then Magic Island or Kakaako Waterfront Park may be just what  you're looking for. Prefer the luxury of a resort setting? Turtle Bay Resort, on Oahu's North Shore is sure to please, or KoOlina in the Ewa (south-western) area. Maybe you've found the perfect beach rental which will be magnificent for your special day!
